Claire is a 400/800 track athlete. She lives in Dublin, Ireland and has just completed a masters in International Business at the UCD Michael Smurfit Business School.

Claire spent 5 years on a Track and Field scholarship at St. John’s University in Queens, New York City while studying Pharmaceutical Science. Claire won multiple Big East Conference titles in 400, 500m and 4x400m relays and ECAC Conference titles in 500m and 4x400m. Claire competed at the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in 2013 as part of the 4x400m relay team earning All America Honours. Claire also competed in the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in 2018 in the 800m and earned Second- Team All American for a 15th place finish.

Claire won the 400m National Outdoor title in 2018. Claire has represented Ireland at two European Senior Outdoor Championships in 2016 and 2018 and a European Team Senior Championships in 2017.

Claire will focus on the 800m event moving forward and hopes to dip under the 2 minute barrier in the coming seasons. Claire’s ultimate goal is to become an Olympian.

  800m - 2.01.61 and 2.03.56 indoors 

200m - 24.89 secs  

Her 400m and 800m PBs are in the Irish All-Time top 10 for both indoor and outdoor.

Claire currently works part time at the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association and trains under the watchful eye of Coach Joe Ryan with a group of talented male and female athletes.
