EMILY MISANTONI - HEPTATHLON



Biography:
Emily competes Nationally in both the Heptathlon and Long Hurdles and has represented England
indoors in the Pentathlon, taking Bronze in the SIAB Schools Combined Events International in 2017.
In 2017, Emily won English Schools Silver in the Pentathlon as well as being a part of the gold medal
winning team. She also won Silver in the English Schools 800m in Birmingham and Silver in the
England Athletics National Hexathlon in Manchester.
In 2018 Emily began to compete in the Long Hurdles and at the age of 15 was the youngest Athlete
invited to compete at the Loughborough International in May. Emily set a County Record for
the Under 20 400m Hurdles in her first race over the distance and in only her first year as an Under
17, also taking Under 20 Bronze in the Northern 400m Hurdles Championship final and 6th in the
English Schools 300m Hurdles in July. Emily finished 4th in the England Athletics Under 17 Heptathlon
Championships and won the Northern 300m title indoors as well as the 300m Hurdles title outdoors
and was part of a Stockport U17’s team that set a UK Best in the Sprint Hurdles Relay in Glasgow in
June. Emily also competed as an Under 18 in the Arona Combined Events European Permit Meet in
Tenerife in June, finishing 8th
