Gemma is a 20km race walker with a personal best of 92:32. Prior to walking she was an accomplished runner. Just three weeks later, Gemma raced over 20km again, finishing in 95:03, which gave her qualifying times for the World Championships in London and the Commonwealth Games in 2018. Gemma became British champion in June and achieved her most recent PB. She also secured selection for the World Championships, where Gemma finished a credible 40th.
