Jess’ constant progression through the junior rankings showed that she was a going to be a talent in future. It has been Jess’ senior years, however, that have really shown her talents evolve, earning her both England and Great Britain selections for numerous Combined Events internationals in both the U23 and senior age groups. Jess first came into the limelight at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where she produced the performance of a lifetime to set a new personal best of 5826 and receive a much deserved bronze medal in the Heptathlon. She managed to do this while completing her 7 year architecture degree and holding down a part time coaching job, safe to say she likes a challenge!

In 2015 she broke the British record for the Decathlon and went on to better her Commonwealth Heptathlon Bronze medal score in 2016 whilst winning her first British Heptathlon title with a PB of 5913 points.

She has continued this form into the 2017 indoor season where she won the Pentathlon at the British Indoor championships and her sights are now set on achieving the qualifying standard for the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast.
