Laura is a 400m sprinter from North Wales. After



Laura is an International sprinter who has competed for Wales in the 200m & 400m. After having four years away from the sport, Laura made a return in 2017 in which she competed in the 100m & 200m and achieved County and Welsh Inter Regional Championship titles. In 2018 she moved up distance to the 400m, where she started off her first season in the event by becoming Welsh indoor champion and qualified for the British indoor championships (Incl. World Trials). During her first season in the event, she lowered her personal best time from 57.11 to 54.69.

In 2019, Laura competed internationally in the 400m for the first time in Valence, France, running her current personal best of 54.66. She also achieved silver and bronze medals at the BUCS indoor and outdoor championships, and a bronze medal in the Manchester International as part of the welsh 4x400m relay team.

Laura loves all things sport (especially athletics) and is currently in her third year studying a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Chester. Laura has been awarded a sport scholarship with the University of Chester throughout the three years she has studied with them in recognition of her achievements and potential. When she graduates, she plans to continue her studies with an MSc at Liverpool John Moores.

In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, Sid the pug. She also enjoys reading, catching up with her friends and going to the cinema to watch the latest movies.
