Millie is a mid-distance athlete with her primary events being the 800m/1500m. She runs longer distances in the winter and has run cross country for the past nine years. She lives in North Yorkshire and is studying for an MSc in International Business and Strategic Management at the University of York.


Millie has just returned after four years in Philadelphia, USA, where she competed for Temple University (Division I) in the NCAA, studying Economics. She won multiple American Athletic Conference titles in the 1500m, mile and DMR and set Conference and university records in all of those events too. In her 2020 indoor season, Millie qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championships by being ranked 11th in the nation for the mile, however the meet was cancelled due to COVID-19. Despite the meet being cancelled, Millie was still awarded All-American honours.


Before leaving for the USA, Millie won English Schools Senior Girls 800m and competed for the GB U20 team at the Loughborough International in the 800m. Her favourite event is now the 1500m.

Interests: Millie loves cooking, coffee and her favourite film is Shrek 2. She can play the piano, loves listening to music and going to concerts. Before starting athletics seriously, Millie was a dancer for 13 years.


Short-term goals: Represent GB and England at a senior level, keep lowering her PBs and consistently be in the top 10 in the UK for 800m and 1500m.


Long-term goals: Compete in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and then compete in the Olympic Games and World Championships in the future.
