Phillipa is a 400m runner with a personal best of 52.99 seconds and 58.03 seconds for the 400m hurdles. The highest level of competition she has competed at is the European Championships in Belgrade 2017 where she represented Great Britain in the 4x400m relay team, winning a Silver medal. Phillipa has also represented England on multiple occasions in Vienna, Manchester International and Loughborough International. Phillipa juggles her athletics career with a busy professional teaching life. Phillipa works at Dame Alice Owens School in Potters Bar Hertfordshire, ‘The Sunday Times State Secondary School of the year 2017’ as a full time PE teacher which means she fits training around aspiring young sportsmen and women. Phillipa’s aim for this year was to be selected for the Commonwealth Games but unfortunately sustained a back injury during last season, which she has worked hard to return from and is now back fully training.
