Phoebe Dowson is a young, GB/England senior discus thrower from Bournemouth AC/Hampshire with a Personal Best 0f 56.05m, achieved early in 2019.  Phoebe was chosen to represent Great Britain for the second consecutive year at the 2019 European Winter Throws Cup in Samorin, Bratislava, where she finished in first place in Group B.  Also,as an England athlete, Phoebe competed at the Loughborough International in 2018, with a second place finish. The highlight of 2018 took Phoebe to her first senior British Championship podium finish and a bronze medal. Phoebe hopes to continue her development and progression during 2019, into one of the UK’s top female athletes and a world-class international discus thrower.

The Life of Phoebe;
Having completed a Degree in Sports Management at the University of South Alabama, USA, Phoebe returned to the UK and has settled into life combining her full-time work at The David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Ringwood, with the rigorous training schedule set up by her coach Mark Chapman.  During her spare time, Phoebe likes to travel back to the USA to see College friends, attend music events, eat healthily, go to the beach, take photographs of everything and anything and explore all the new fitness aspects that can benefit her.
